3R Fair – Research meets practice

For the past four years, the 27 research teams within the national research programme NFP 79 – ‘Advancing 3R’ have been conducting research in the areas of innovation, ethics & society and on the practical implementation of the 3R principle (Replace, Reduce, Refine). On 15 April 2026, NFP 79 will host a 3R Fair to bring together researchers and stakeholders from public administration, industry, academia, NGOs and politics to share insights.

Exchanges and practical insights

At the 3R Fair, the research teams will present their projects and results in the form of hands-on demonstrations, summaries, videos, presentations and practical solutions. Direct exchange with the researchers will enable discussions on concrete implementation possibilities and joint reflection on the next steps to strengthen the 3Rs in Switzerland. Specific guided tours for experts are also planned.

The 3R Fair offers a unique opportunity to learn first-hand about the current status of projects, key results and recommendations derived from them. As a meeting place for the 3R community, it creates space for networking, inspiration and professional exchange.
